Before sending a workout to your Garmin device, you can customize which parts of the session are included and how the activity is categorized. This guide shows you how to tailor your workouts for a more focused and streamlined experience on your watch. You will need to have your Garmin account connected to the app.
From your daily training plan, select a workout and tap the Send to Garmin button.

On the Send to Garmin screen, review the list under Included steps. Tap the checkmark next to any workout block (like a warm-up or a finisher) that you want to exclude from the session sent to your watch.

Under Garmin activity type, select the option that best matches your workout. For mixed-modality sessions, Hybrid is a good default, but selecting Running can provide more detailed running metrics if your workout includes it.

Optionally, tap Preview Garmin workout to expand a detailed view of how each exercise and lap will be structured on your watch.

Once your customizations are complete, tap Schedule workout to send the session to your Garmin account.
